From October2004 to May 2005 Deploy Subsea was contracted by Leighton Constructions to provide underwater welding and construction support during the widening of the Mount Henry Bridge as part of the $1.6b Perth to Mandurah Metro Rail Development Project. Deploy provided a highly skilled team of up to 12 coded welder divers with all equipment and floating plant and was responsible for all AWS 3.6b class coded underwater welding of the support brackets for the concrete soffits on each new bridge column. Approximately 600 man-hours of coded wet stick welding was achieved during this project.
